2023 Rate Study

The San Lorenzo Valley Water District is embarking on a financial planning process to set rates. The CZU Fire, COVID, and the recent 2023 storms have had a tremendous impact on the community and District finances. The rate study will analyze the cost of service with an eye on how to fund capital projects, maintain reserves and ensure equity in rates for customers.  

Should the Board of Directors vote to move forward with a rate increase, a Proposition 218 notice will likely go out in December. If approved, new rates would go into effect in February 2024. 

Project Cost: $99,035

Estimated Start: May 2023

Estimated Completion: December 2023, New rate schedule effective February 2024
