Foreman Access Trail Rehabilitation

The 2020 CZU Fires damaged the raw water pipeline between Foreman Intake site and the Lyon Water Treatment Plant. Emergency work was performed to install a new pipeline, with the path between the two sites reformed as the Foreman Access Trail. Now three years later, numerous storms and other factors caused significant damage to this trail, including slides, unsafe slopes, overgrown vegetation and drainage problems. 

To ensure the safety of this critical raw water source, this rehabilitation project aims to protect the pipeline while maintaining trail access. The trail is crucial to access the two sites as well as for maintenance and repair of the raw water pipeline.
