Description: The Juanita Woods Mainline Replacement Project replaced approximately 2,900 feet of undersized 1- and 2-inch water pipes with a new, 8-inch high-strength, long-lasting iron pipe. The replaced pipes ran from the existing tie-in at the intersection of Highway 9 and Juanita Woods Rd in Boulder Creek east to the intersection of Juanita Woods Rd, Brook Dr, and Juanita Rd; north along Juanita Rd to Igo Way; north along Igo Way to Terrace Dr; northwest along Terrace Dr to Brookside Dr; and south and west along Brookside Dr to the existing tie-in at CA-9 and Brookside Dr.  The project also replaced the existing 1-inch pipe from the intersection of Juanita Woods Dr and Apple Knoll, heading north to the end of Apple Knoll. Installation of new, larger fire hydrants is also included, which significantly increases the availability of water for firefighters.
