Jayme Ackemann

Jayme Ackemann lives in the Lomond Terrace neighborhood in Ben Lomond. She's lived in the San Lorenzo Valley with her husband and two daughters for more than 15 years. 

Jayme's background in Government Relations, Public Affairs and Strategic Communications combined with her knowledge of the water industry made her a well-rounded candidate for the appointment to San Lorenzo Valley Water District Board. In addition to her professional background leading the Marketing and Communications divisions for organizations like Santa Cruz Metro, San Jose Water, and Caltrain, Jayme is also certified through NARUC - the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners - to oversee the process of structuring sustainable utility rate bases.

As a director, Jayme intends to focus on helping the District recover from last summer's wildfires and harden its infrastructure for future disasters. She also hopes to increase community engagement with District initiatives through more robust communications and outreach.

In her free time, you can frequently find Jayme running trails around town, hiking the hills with her husband, or enjoying the music and a glass of wine on Hallcrest's patio.
