Description: The Redwood Park Pipeline Replacement Project included the installation of a new 8-inch water main. The new 1,260-foot pipeline, made of high-strength, long-lasting iron, replaced an existing 2-inch water main. The upgraded pipeline supports increased fire flow and water pressure at existing hydrants, which will improve vital resources for firefighters. This project was completed in preparation for the replacement of a leaking redwood tank with a new bolted steel tank.
