San Lorenzo Valley Water District Sustains Water Service During Storms - Press Release

Water system update:

BOULDER CREEK, CA – The San Lorenzo Valley Water District (SLVWD) today announced is has no current storm-related disruptions in water service, despite recording more than 8 inches of rain since the storms started on Saturday.

 

The District has received 8.17 inches of rain since Saturday, bringing the total rainfall for the current water year (Oct. 1, 2016 to Sept. 30, 2017) to 42.56 inches.

 

During the 2015-16 water year, the District recorded 49.47 inches of rain.

The San Lorenzo Valley Water District is accepting applications from the public to serve on the Engineering Committee.

This committee was previously part of the Environmental/Engineering/Planning Committee but we are anticipating projects that will require more attention to engineering in the future. The Engineering Committee will be responsible for review of design, construction, replacement and repair of the District facilities including; The Capital Improvement Program, Master Plans and other engineering/operational and planning related matters.  Applications will be reviewed by the full Board at the March 16, 2017 Board of Directors meeting. Please send your application to the District Secretary by March 8, 2017.

CONSULTING SERVICES: ENTERPRISE WIDE NEEDS ASSESSMENT

A water district needs appropriate  facilities from which to provide service. The San Lorenzo Valley Water District is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to conduct an Administrative and Operational Facility Needs Assessment to assist in determining the spatial and infrastructure needs of running a functional district.

On October 11, 2015, the State of California enacted Senate Bill 272 (SB 272) which required local agencies to make publicly available a catalog of application software (“Enterprise System”) that is used enterprise wide.
