The District is Hiring
SLVWD is looking to fill two field positions:

WATER TREATMENT AND SYSTEM OPERATOR
Under the general supervision of the Water Treatment and System Supervisor, the Water Treatment and System Operator performs a variety of skilled tasks in the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems.

 

FIELD SERVICES WORKER I, II
Under the supervision of the Field Services Supervisor, a Field Services Worker I or II performs work in the maintenance, installation, and repair of the water distribution and transmission system and wastewater collection and transmission system
.

 

Employment Application


The District is now accepting applications for Classic Watershed Education Grants. Apply now for a Grant if your project involves classroom watershed education for students; outdoor watershed education, such as educational hikes or science camps; or community/public education. Application deadline: Friday, March 11, 2016 at 5:00 p.m.


District is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to assist in preparation of the District’s 2015 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) update. Responses are due on or before February 26, 2016.

Climate forecasters are predicting this winter ’s El Niño to be among the largest on record. However, what that means for Santa Cruz County is unknown.

The San Lorenzo Valley Water District (SLVWD) staff works hard to ensure customers have access to drinking water that meets or exceeds all State and Federal drinking water standards. The process to do so involves sampling and testing water, protecting the watershed and maintaining the distribution system.
