Funding for this program is limited. Applications will be processed on
a first-come first-serve basis. The ultra low flow toilet credit amount
shall be the actual purchase price not to exceed $100.00 per toilet. The
credit amount shall be applied to the San Lorenzo Valley Water District
water bill for actual site being retrofitted. The credit does not apply
to installation charges.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Credit may be given for the replacement of an existing 3.5 or greater
gallon per flush (gpf) toilet with a new 1.6 gpf or less toilet. Purchase
and installation of the new 1.6 gpf or less toilet must occur on or
after April 1, 2003. Credit will not be issued retroactively for toilets
purchased prior to April 1, 2003.
- Credit will be given only to the San Lorenzo Valley Water District's
customer of record.
- An original, dated purchase receipt must be provided.
- A representative of San Lorenzo Valley Water District must be permitted
to inspect the property to verify installation. The applicant's failure
to permit such inspection shall obligate the applicant to repay the
amount of credit received from the District.
- San Lorenzo Valley Water District does not endorse, recommend, or
make any representations as to specific brands, products, contractors,
or dealers; nor does it guarantee materials or workmanship; acceptance
of such is customer responsibility.
- Prior to purchasing your ultra low flow toilet, contact the District
to reserve your credit and have an application sent to you. Credit applications
are guaranteed only for thirty (30) calendar days from the time the
application is dated. Applications are generated and processed on a
first-come, first-serve basis until allocated funds are exhausted. You
must reserve your credit application in order to guarantee qualification
for this program.
- A separate application is required for each toilet purchased.
- Complete and return your application and attach the original purchase
receipt. Return to San Lorenzo Valley Water District for processing
(Remittance address is located on the front of this application).
- The maximum lifetime credit for the combined High-Efficiency Clothes
Washer and Ultra Low Flow Toilet Programs is $400.00 per account.
- Allow thirty (30) calendar days from the date of inspection for processing
of your credit. The credit will appear on a subsequent water bill.
This is a program to provide financial assistance to San Lorenzo Valley
Water District customers wishing to replace existing 3.5 or greater gallon
per flush (gpf) toilets with new 1.6 gpf or less toilets. Installation
of the toilet is the sole responsibility of the applicant, as is determination
of the adequacy and compatibility of their existing plumbing system. San
Lorenzo Valley Water District assumes no responsibility or liability for
any damage that may occur to an applicant's property as a result of participation
in the Ultra Low Flow Toilet Credit Program. Due to circumstances beyond
it's control, the District cannot guarantee that installation of ultra
low flow toilets will result in lower utility costs.
