Funding for this program is limited. Applications will be processed on
a first-come first-serve basis. The high-efficiency clothes washer credit
amount shall be the actual purchase price not to exceed $100.00 per appliance.
The credit amount shall be applied to the San Lorenzo Valley Water District
water bill for actual site being retrofitted. The credit does not apply
to installation charges.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Credit may be given for the purchase of a qualified single-load, high-efficiency
clothes washer. Purchase and installation of the high-efficiency clothes
washer must occur on or after April 1, 2003. Credit will not be issued
retroactively for washing machines purchased prior to April 1, 2003.
- Washing machines must be new and must meet the Consortium for Energy
Efficiency specifications for resource efficiency.
- Credit will be given only to the San Lorenzo Valley Water District's
customer of record.
- An original, dated purchase receipt must be provided.
- A representative of San Lorenzo Valley Water District must be permitted
to inspect the property to verify installation. The applicant's failure
to permit such inspection shall obligate the applicant to repay the
amount of credit received from the District.
- San Lorenzo Valley Water District does not endorse, recommend, or
make any representations as to specific brands, products, contractors,
or dealers; nor does it guarantee materials or workmanship; acceptance
of such is customer responsibility.
- Prior to purchasing your high-efficiency washing machine, contact
the District to reserve your credit and have an application sent to
you. A credit application is only guaranteed for thirty (30) calendar
days from the time the application is dated. Applications are generated
and processed on a first-come, first-serve basis until allocated funds
are exhausted. You must reserve your credit application in order to
guarantee qualification for this program.
- A separate application is required for each high-efficiency washing
machine purchased.
- Complete and return your application and attach the original purchase
receipt. Return to San Lorenzo Valley Water District for processing
(Remittance address is located on the front of this application).
- The maximum lifetime credit for the combined High-Efficiency Clothes
Washer and Ultra Low Flow Toilet Programs is $400.00 per account.
- Allow thirty (30) calendar days from the date of inspection for processing
of your credit. The credit will appear on a subsequent water bill.
This is a program to provide financial assistance to San Lorenzo Valley
Water District customers wishing to install high-efficiency clothes washers
in their home or place of business. Installation of the washer is the
sole responsibility of the applicant, as is determination of the adequacy
and compatibility of their existing plumbing system. San Lorenzo Valley
Water District assumes no responsibility or liability for any damage that
may occur to an applicant's property as a result of participation in the
High-Efficiency Clothes Washer Credit Program. Due to circumstances beyond
it's control, the District cannot guarantee that installation of high-efficiency
clothes washers will result in lower utility costs.
