The San Lorenzo Valley Water District
is an independent special district providing water, sewer or a
combination of both services to approximately 7,300 residents
and businesses within its service area. The District takes seriously
it's responsibility to closely review actual expenditures and
propose a workable budget and priorities. An important part of
this process is to work closely with an accredited auditor to
complete a comprehensive review of the District's Financial Statements
following the guidelines set forth by the Governmental Accounting
Standards Board (GASB).
The Annual Financial Report is organized
into two sections: (1) Introductory and (2) Financial. The Introductory
section offers general information about the District's organization
and current District activities and reports on a summary of significant
financial results. The Financial section includes the Independent
Auditor's Report, Management's Discussion and Analysis of the
District's basic financial statements, and the District's audited
basic financial statements with accompanying Notes.
